November 3, by the China Leather Association and the China Sewing Machinery Association jointly organised the intelligent shoe sewing equipment and technology seminar was successfully held in Guangzhou Huidong. The meeting aims to strengthen the combination of upstream and downstream production and demand, to build a platform for information exchange between sewing machinery industry and shoe industry, and to promote the innovative application and future development of intelligent technology in shoe sewing. More than one hundred representatives from shoe-making enterprises and sewing machinery enterprises attended the meeting. China leather association brand department and director of the footwear industry special committee Liang Wei presided over the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, China Leather Association Deputy Secretary General Lu Hua on behalf of the organisers to make a speech. He pointed out that the process of automation upgrade of the shoe industry, sewing machinery is the pioneer, along with the development of the shoe industry, shoe sewing equipment has also experienced many challenges and upgrade, now in the new stage of industrial development, the shoe-making enterprises and sewing machinery enterprises to jointly discuss how to upgrade the shoe sewing intelligent technology, the high quality of the shoe industry is of great significance to the development.

Subsequently, Wu Jianxin, a consultant from Zhejiang Red Dragonfly Shoes Co., Ltd, and Zhou Gang, General Manager of Zhengzhou Shuangfeng Company, spoke on behalf of the shoe enterprises respectively. Combined with the use of sewing equipment in the industry, they discussed the current demand for innovation in sewing equipment by shoe-making enterprises and put forward targeted suggestions on the direction of intelligent sewing equipment to empower the development of the footwear industry.

On behalf of the sewing machinery enterprises, Cheng Weiping, Deputy General Manager of Standard Sewing Machine Ivana Ping Machinery Co Ltd, Zhu Chongjing, General Manager of Guangdong Ruizhou Technology Co Ltd, and Lu Mingan, Director of IoT Technology Department of Jack Technology Co Ltd, spoke respectively. They introduced the latest achievements of their respective enterprises in the research and development of intelligent sewing equipment, and discussed solutions on how to better meet the intelligent needs of footwear enterprises.

At the meeting, Han Jianlin, Vice President of Huizhou College Huidong Fashion Creative College, also elaborated on his expectations for the innovative development of sewing equipment from the perspective of the institution. He said that the research and development of sewing equipment should shift from focusing on functional research and development to a more diversified research and development direction, especially focusing on how to enhance the added value of footwear products from the perspective of process technology.
